Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
At menarche, the period/menstrual bleeding can be altered blood, spotting rather than being a regular normal flow. If there is no bad/foul smell, or other symptoms like itching, vaginal discomfort, abdominal cramps etc, then it can be considered as normal. If worried, you can consider visiting and discussing with your gynecologist about your daughter’s menarche and altered bleeding/spotting.
Take care.
