Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum. I am really glad to help you out. If you have diarrhea (loose stools) along with the cramps, then there’s a possibility of you having an intestinal infection and for that you’ll need a short course of antibiotics. The cramps can be due to a colicky pain.

If it is in the upper right abdomen, then a stone in the biliary tree (gall stones) should be ruled out and if it is in the lower abdomen, then there’s a possibility of it being due to a urinary tract stone. An ultrasound of the abdomen should be done to rule out these possibilities. Meanwhile, drugs which decrease the cramps like hyocine or drotaverine can help in the relief of the cramping pain. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
