Yasmin and sperm viability

User Profile
Is there a possibility that I may be pregnant if I missed taking my birth control pill on Wednesday when I was intimate with my husband on Tuesday? I took both the missed pill and my regular dosage on Thursday evening as schedule. How long can semen exist in the uterus?

Your query does not include any data about how long you are using Yasmin (generic substances include: drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol). The concentration of these substances in the blood is decreased after 24 hours.

That is why it so important that the pill is taken regularly. It can not be determined whether you are pregnant or not without additional tests, although the possibility for pregnancy can not be excluded.

The estimated time for the sperm being viable after ejaculation and exposure to the vaginal environment is 24 hours.
