Complications during Pregnancy Answer A48503
Hello,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

The dose that you have mentioned is an excess dose of vitamin C during pregnancy. Taking excess of vitamin C can cause miscarriage but if it does not happen then too much vitamin C during pregnancy can cause your baby to be born with a vitamin C deficiency, also called scurvy.

You should go for a medical termination of pregnancy only after consulting your gynecologist. Medical termination of pregnancy(MTP) by pills(methotrexate, mesoprostol and mifiprestone) is effective only if pregnancy is less than seven weeks. Anytime past seven weeks requires surgical abortion.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
