Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is difficult to predict the placental formation site in pregnancy. It depends on the time of pregnancy and the day of implantation (on where the fertilized ovum falls in the uterus). The early diagnosis is the key to prevent complications. Go ahead with getting early ultrasound scan done to locate placenta and monitor growth. Be in regular follow-up and monitoring of your treating gynecologist/obstetrician.
Take care.
