While falling asleep, I feel a jerk and fainting sensation

User Profile
While going to sleep I felt a jerk and fainting (I didn't faint). After feeling this I grabbed my mom's woke up with heavy heart beats and spinning. Didn't slept because of the fear of fainting, shortness in breath, heaviness in chest, spinning, off balance. After waking up i have a heavy head and eyes, stuffy chest, vomiting sensation. My family doctor said it is nothing but acidity. But I am still experiencing jerks while trying to sleep and as a result of which I start worrying and fells uneasy !! Please I need some opinions on this.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Acidity and anxiety panic attacks are common manifestations of such presentation and nothing to worry about. it just needs supportive care and diet lifestyle adjustments.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
