Whether you use a manual or electric toothbrush, the effectiveness of a toothbrush depends on the way you brush your teeth, frequency and duration of your brushing sessions are the most important factors for effective oral hygiene and good health of your teeth

I used a manual brush for years and always had some sort of minor gum issues. I had to visit the dentist every three months for a clean and polish. When, I finally switched over to an electrical toothbrush it had made a real difference. Now, I see my dentist every six months and I get a glowing report. Yes, it is important to brush your teeth well, floss, at least twice a day.

Regardless, my personal feelings are that an electric brush does a better job.
