which day will I consider my first day of last menstruation?

I had my period last November 8, 2015 then last December 6, 2015 theres a brownish on my liner, so I thought my monthly period starts. but the next day my pad was its all day and there was no blood. As in clean. Then I use again a liner. December 9, 2015 it happen again only spotting but compared last dec. 6 this time is a bit more. So i use pad again hoping it is really my period. But the whole day until dec. 10 its only little brownish blood. Dec. 11 i use only liner, thinking that maybe its more absorbent than my pad. But dec 11 at night my period become heavy until After 5 days. my period was completely finished. Now, January 16, 2016 i still dont have my period even just a brownish. My question is which day will I consider my first day of last menstruation? Maybe I'm pregnant now thats why im delayed. I don't want to take test yet im afraid maybe it's false alarm again. Also my OB told me that I should wait atleast 1week delayed before i take the test just to be sure. So i based on dec. 11 to compute i still dont have 1 week delayed. I hope you can tell me what's happening. Thanks for your help. God bless us all.

If your previous cycles were regular and without any variation, and the current change has occurred for the first time, then it is likely that stress or anxiety could be the cause of your cycle changes. Second thoughts or apprehensions due to your recent sexual play or worry about possibly being pregnant would also be very stressful.

Stress certainly plays a role in suppressing the functioning of the hypothalamus, which controls the pituitary gland — the body's master gland — which, in turn, controls the thyroid and adrenal glands and the ovaries; they all work together to manage hormones. Any change in the hormonal equilibrium can hence affect the menstrual cycle.

Take proper rest and relax yourself. Stress can induce hormonal changes in the body. Destressing with having proper sleep, healthy balanced diet, meditation, practicing deep breathing exercises (yoga, etc) can be helpful and will keep your menstrual cycles regular.

If you think you might be pregnant, a urine pregnancy test can be done and it will provide proper confirmation.
