Welcome to ehealthforum,
Sperms once released inside female reproductive tract can stay alive for 3-4 days. If they reach the tubes and meet the egg, they (1 sperm) fertilize the egg and the rest die. If there is no egg present at the time of ejaculation, sperms stay alive for 3-4 days and then they die and are expelled along with cervical and vaginal discharge.
Take care.
