my last period started on december 5, i believe. my periods always last about 5 days. is there any way to tell when i got pregnant?

Heidi, The length of your period does not have any relevance.

You can roughly get pregnant from about 3 days before you ovulate to the day after ovulation. 95% of women ovulate 12 to 16 days BEFORE their NEXT menstruation (average is 14 days).

If your cycles were not regular, they will give you a due date during your first ultrasound scan. These dates are very accurate if done early in the pregnancy. From your due date, you can determine when you conceived.
