when can I see a pregnancy symptom in my body?

Hi ,

Me and my husband are planning to have a baby. So, we started up with this month (July,2014). My LMP was on 10th July. We had an intercourse on 27th July, which is 11 days prior to my next periods, also, post intercourse I peed just after 5 mins. Is there any minute chance of getting pregnant in this situation? Also, please let me know from when can I see a pregnancy symptom in my body (before my periods date).

Thanks in Advance Smile

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Appearance of pregnancy symptoms depends on how your body reacts to changing hormonal status. On an average, women are known to get pregnant within 3-4 months of trying (if there are no other factors affecting fertility), hence, if you are not successful in your pregnancy plans within 6 months to 1 year of trying, you should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist to get a complete infertility work-up done for you and your partner to see if there are any underlying causes for the infertility/inability to conceive. Treatment as needed (based on examination and investigations results) would be started to help you get pregnant. Consider visiting your gynecologist/obstetrician for further evaluation and assistance and be in regular follow-up and monitoring as instructed. Have diet with foods rich in zinc content to ensure better maturation of egg and sperms. Monitor cervix position, cervical mucus changes and the BBT (basal body temperature) charting to predict ovulation and time the intercourse for having fruitful results. Have intercourse in positions that allow for deeper penetration for high deposit of semen. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
