Dental Sleep therapy is one of the options for treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The gold standard of treatment is a CPAP machine. Used mainly in mild to moderate forms of sleep apnea (without significant drop of blood oxygen saturation) and in cases when CPAP is not tolerated or contraindicated. A special device is placed in the mouth to keep the airways open though the night. This type of treatment is usually offered by dentists specializing in sleep apnea and snoring.
