Basically last week I was running up the stairs and landed slightly awkwardly on my left foot. After, I couldn't straighten my leg all the way and everytime I put total pressure on that leg my knee would "slip", for lack of a better word. It hasn't been very painful, only gets sore when I walk around for a bit, but I notice on the left side of my knee it feels swollen when sitting down compared to my right knee.

The doctor who seemed unsure said he reckoned I just slightly strained something but it doesn't seem to be getting much better. Any ideas as to what it could be?
