I read your question and i understand your concern. gout is a metabolic illness and need management with pain killers and measures to keep uric acid in reference range with regular followup to a rheumatologist and keen eye on the symptoms and efforts to prevent complications. its manageable and not lethal if taken care of with compliance to medications and follow ups.
