Welcome to ehealthforum,
Pure tone audiometry (PTA) is the key hearing test that is used to identify the hearing threshold levels of an individual, thus enabling determination of the degree, type and configuration of a hearing loss the person is suffering from and thus providing a basis for diagnosis and management of hearing loss.
Take care.
