what causes loss of strength in arms?

my father is a diabetic and he now doesnt want to use his arms now. what causes this?

I read your question and i understand your concern. With diabetes, peripheral neuropathies and negative nitrogen balance may present with such symptoms. Compliance to the medications and diet and lifestyle modifications should be never stopped. Get her evaluated by a doctor though for this recent limbs immobility.
