what can i take for hernia pain?

what can i take for hernia pain? my doctors don't want to operate on me because I have other illnesses, but i'm under a lot of pain and don't want to go to a hospital. please help

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. For pain in hernia, try to rest adequately and you can also take over the counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen or naproxen sodium.

But it is best to get the hernia repaired surgically as pain relievers are not a permanent treatment.
