what allergy/cold meds are ok with anxiety meds?

User Profile
My spouse has struggled with seasonal allergies for many years and has taken various medications for them. He recently had to start taking Sertraline (generic for Zoloft - 150 mg) and Busporine (5 mg) for anxiety. As it is May, allergy season has hit and his allergies are horrible right now. He is also struggling with a cold. What medications are allowed for the allergies/cold that are okay to take along with the anxiety medications? He doesn't want to mix the wrong medications together and have an adverse reaction.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If his symptoms are worsening, he should not ignore his symptoms. He should avoid self-medication. He should visit his treating doctor/healthcare provider for further evaluation, clarification and get started on medication suitable for him (that can be taken along with his anxiety control medications) to have symptom relief. He should be in regular monitoring and follow-up with his treating doctor/healthcare provider and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
