23 weeks after last exposure i got a scratch with sharp obje

User Profile
i was letting it go , this hiv nightmare . At exactly 23 weeks after last exposure i got a scratch with a sharp object . There was no visible blood on it ( noone washed it for this i am sure ) but what if it would have been scratching someone with hcv ? If it was hcv infected blood on it , would it be a danger for me . there was no blood in my scratch just red skin but still my skin was damaged . If it would have been hcv there , would this give me a false negative hiv test at 24 weeks ? This happened after my 23 weeks last exposure to hiv , Can hcv delay hiv antibodies ?

Welcome to e health forum.

HIV serology test results cannot be changed due to presence of co-infections like hepatitis B or Hep C.

If your HIV test at the end of 12 weeks post exposure has been negative, then you can consider it to be conclusive.
