Weather causing panic attacks ?

User Profile
Hi I'm 36 years old. I live in Florida . I've recently notice the weather is starting to give me freak pantic attacks , to wear I get into a dark place in the house , my heart races and I start to shake uncontrollably. I've tried talking myself to get up and take control but the more I fight it the more I spiral out of it. I'm I crazy or is this some type of problem . People laugh at me . My mother thinks Ive lost my mind .

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Its normal to feel afraid or anxious in dark or alone. Take some anxiolytics and consult a psychotherapist and let them help.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
