User Profile
My boyfriend and I recently got intimate in bed. I was completely naked, and he had his boxers on. At one point we grinded against each other. He had his boxers on and it was through a sheet too. He had pre-cum on his boxers when we stopped and now i'm worried i'm pregnant. What are the chances of me actually being pregnant?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you suspect direct contact with semen at any time during your sexual contact, (and if the sexual contact was after finishing with your periods and during your fertile days), chances of pregnancy cannot be ruled out completely. There are no studies to prove that sperms can swim through fabrics (unless it is thin and lightly woven and there is ample vaginal wetness). Pre-cum is known to contain sperms. If you were not ready for baby you should have considered taking emergency contraception within 48 hours of the unprotected sexual contact to prevent pregnancy (if you suspect direct contact of vagina with pre-cum or semen). Wait and watch for your next periods. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance if you do not get your periods within 10 days of expected period dates, or if you develop any new symptoms suggestive of pregnancy. If pregnancy gets ruled out and if you intend to remain sexually active, consider visiting your gynecologist to get started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after your periods). Be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact.
Take care.
