I've been researching online about the supplement Goldenseal, and am confused about what I'm reading. I want to take it for the purpose of reducing nasal and sinus swelling (not because of wet congestion, but dry stuffiness problem) Almost everything I've read says it's great to maintain healthy mucous, but I don't want to reduce mucous, just swelling. If not this supplement, can you recommend another one to help open nasal passages, without drying out the nose more? Thanks.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
It can be used for this purpose but its carcinogenic.
I would suggest you just steam inhalation and pseudoephedrine.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
