If she didn't vacuum up the mercury she's probably ok. Wiping it up is the right thing to do. If she isn't mercury toxic, she's probably ok. The problem comes in when a dose of mercury breaks pushes the person over the edge, the proverbial straw that breaks the camels back. Did you get the fillings out? Mercury is also in some bleach, so if the stores are cleaning the floors with a bleach product it could be affecting you. The mercury in the bulbs is probably contained, but those fluorescents pulse light to save on electric. This is what may be bothering you in the store, however, it could be the cheap plastics off... more
