unprotexted sex - should i be worried?

hi

my bf and i had unprotected sex, but should i be worried, because im not sure if he actually came in me.. i know thinking about it makes things worse, so basically im just waiting out for my periods to start which should actually be due today (16-09-2011)

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Pre-cum/pre-ejaculatory fluid is known to contain sperms and vaginal intercourse can lead to pregnancy due to pre-cum/ pre-ejaculatory fluid leak (especially if the intercourse was around the time of your ovulation). The chances of pregnancy resulting due to pre-cum/ pre-ejaculatory fluid cannot be ruled out completely as no man can be 100% sure that pre-cum/ pre-ejaculatory fluid did not leak out during vaginal penetration. Wait and watch for your periods. If they do not start within 10 days of expected period dates (sometimes they can be delayed by 5-10 days due to stress), you should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for further examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Look out for development of any other new symptoms suggestive of early pregnancy. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet. If pregnancy gets ruled out, and if you intend to remain sexually active, consider visiting your gynecologist to get started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after your periods). Be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact.
Take care.

Good day! I agree with your comments. There is a possible to get pregnant to unprotected sex.In order not to get pregnant you can used contraceptives or natural birth control method. But if you feel not feeling well it's much better to consult the doctor.
