Tylenol PM and Birth control

User Profile
I have read a couple places that Tylenol PM and birth control shouldn't be mixed. But that doesn't make sense because it isn't an antibiotic. So is it safe or not?

I've used it before with bc and never had a problem. You have to worry about antibiotics and some herbs. If you're really unsure, ask your doctor just to be safe.

thanks! Yeah I'm not too worried, I've been searching around and it seems like Tylenol PM and sleeping aids in moderation don't harm anything. I just have a whacked out sleep schedule I'd like to get a hold on. Thank you for your input. It helped a lot Smile

No- I have read nowhere, and it says nowhere in my pill packet or any pamphlet I can find online, that Tylenol PM effects the pill. Only liver-enzyme inducing drugs, some natural supplements, SOME antibiotics, and anticonvulsants may reduce the pill's efficacy. I can send you a complete list if you'd like.
