hey i am currently 8weeks pregnant and i had caught a very bad cold virus that gave me huge migranes all night....i went to the hospital and because i am still in my first trimester of pregnancy they couldn't give me any cold/flu medications....instead the doctor gave me tylenol 3, i'v only taken one and my migranes have gone away, i was just wondering if it's safe to take it.

Everything I've read online says it's OK to take Tylenol 3 while pregnant. But you spoke to the medical professionals (who, I would hope, know better than me.) Is there any reason for you to doubt their advice or are you just extra- nervous about this pregnancy?

Hmm
If your doctor gave it to you, and knows you're pregnant, it should be okay. Did you try regular tylenol first? I start with the lowest dose of the mildest thing first, to make sure I'm not medicating more than necessary. Less is best when it comes to synthetic medications during pregnancy, IMO, but of course you don't want to be unnecessarily uncomfortable.
