Hi,

My sister is 28 years old, she's pregnant and her medical test results shows that she has toxoplasmosis 'weak positive'. Her first child was born with a harelip. I need someone that is specialized in treating this conditions to prescribe a treatment.

Thank you.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!
I read your question and I understand your concern.
Toxoplasmosis should be confirmed first in reference laboratory. If its positive then spiramycin should be taken. Ultrasound should be done at 20th weeks,if showing gross anomalies then pregnancy termination should be considered.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
