These days rampantly titanium dioxide is rampantly used as food additive in vitamins capsules , herbal supplements , milk , ect . I have been consuming upto 15 herbal supplement capsules daily that were coated with Titanium dioxide since past two years . I discovered the harmful effects of Titanium dioxide some days ago and discontinued the supplements . Please tell me whether the titanium dioxide I have been eating since years will deposit in my body and cause toxicity or damage. How can I detoxify myself ? How toxic can it be ?

TiO2 is used as a whitener in so many products that toxic effects can't be great. It replaced lead oxide in paint 50 years ago. I see Dunkin Donuts recently decided to remove it following negative publicity on "nano" particles, but there seems to be no proven negative effect. I wouldn't want to breathe fine particles of anything.
