totally regular periods with my implanon bar?

User Profile
I am getting totally regular periods with my implanon bar, and they are uncomfortable too. I can still feel it though and it doesn't seem broken. Is this normal? Most people seem to experience irregular periods so I'm concerned that mine has stopped working.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
You can continue to have regular periods while you are on the Implanon (especially if it has not hampered your normal hormonal and period pattern if inserted at the right time). If there are no associated symptoms and the insertion site is fine, you can be relaxed. Visit your gynecologist/obstetrician for further evaluation if you are worried. Be in regular follow-up with your gynecologist and report any unusual/new symptoms immediately.
Take care.
