Torn labrum from overuse or impact injury?

Is is possible to have a torn labrum from a car accident but not have bone bruising or edema show up on an MRI?

Hi jmcguire03 and welcome to ehealth....I am not a doctor, but on this I would say yes....I say this for one reason...My husband had the X-rays and they did not show any serious problems...The problems persisted and he was in deep pain...Then they did the MRI...His shoulder was in so much pain when they did this that he had to come back the next day loaded with Valium....They found during this test what they were looking for...Take care...
