Sleep Disorders Answer A2921
The difficulty you've been experiencing in falling asleep and staying asleep as well as the failure to get entire night's sleep on most nights (also called insomnia), is most often a symptom of an underlying disorder. Difficulty sleeping may be related to any of the following : worry, stress, anxiety, psychological problems, behavioral/environmental factors, nutrition problems, etc. Since this is only a symptom, the cause for it should be found. You may consult your primary health care doctor or a psychiatrist for advice and assistance in diagnosing your sleepless nights.
