My dad is 37 years old. Recently, he has been having bad pains in his right side. We finally got him to go to the doctor, but they didn't find anything wrong. His side will swell up and make a knot. If anyone has any ideas, Thanks

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
This could be musculoskeletal problem or disorder in the internal organs. I would suggest him ultrasonography of abdomen/ pelvis to sort it out.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
