Pantothenic Acid (vitamin B5)

Hi I just bought some pantothenic acid at the vitamin store today. I was just doing some research and a lot of sites are recommending 5-10grams a day now is that safe to do? I'm very sensitive to drugs and vitamins and things of that matter. If you go to acne.Org you can see reviews of people doing this new way to clear up acne. People post they buy vitamin b-complex to balance out the high intake of pantothenic acid is that necessary to buy that one too? Please let me know what you think on this matter of high intake of vitamin b5.
