Is it at all possible for a diabetic to have any kind of psychotic episode?

Well, if your glucose goes low enough, you may go tempoarily insane. My dad had it, and hes a really bad one too. He used to have sezures. But I dont know about having mental problems with normal/high glucose

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Its possible but most common is depression.
Psychiatric evaluation should be done at regular intervals.
