What are the symptoms you get when you have tetanus(lockjaw)?

I'm 18 right now about a week and a half ago, my finger got stuck by a fishing hook outside. It didn't even draw blood so I didn't think anything about it until now. I was reading up on symptoms of tetanus and it seems that you get painful muscle spasms and such but I don't have any muscle spasms and no pain but I did read that other symptoms are loss of apetite and irritability which I do have but others which I don't (fever, headache, and more)

i first got worried when my jaw was a little stiff yesterday.

I have been vaccinated against tetanus but I don't know when the last time I got a booster shot was. I remember getting a shot when I was maybe 14 or 15 but I don't know if it was a tetanus booster or not.

If anything is worse i'm going to the doctor tomorrow.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. If you have no booster in last 5 years, then you need one booster shot and thats it.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care

Tetanus is a serious bacterial infection. The bacteria exist in soil, manure, and other environmental agents. A person who experiences a puncture wound with a contaminated object can develop the infection, which can affect the whole body. It can be fatal.
