Candida Fungal Infection In the Bloodstream

Can candida fungal infection get into the bloodstream?
What are the implications of this?
How can this be treated?

I read your question and i understand your concern.
Yes,candida can enter blood stream,condition known as candidemia.
It affects central nervous system,lungs,liver,bones,muscles,kidneys and urinary tract.
IV antifungal is the treatment like
ampotericin B,caspofungin and fluconazole.
Mortality is 40-50%.
