Squiggly lines in vision
When any of you have these squiggly lines, does it make it to where you can only see half of an object. My doctor says I am having silent migraines. I have done this for years, mainly about once a year. I was at work today and I was talking to my boss and I could only see her face but not her shoulder...anyone do this?

Usually I can't see straight ahead...I only see objects to the right of where I'm focused. It only lasts about 20 minutes, though. It's bad when you're driving.

squiggle lines in right side vision
I have been trying to find info on this for a long time! exactly! it takes over my right side vision, like it wrapping around my eye...but with flashing, geometric shapes, some colors too. WTH??? I feel pressure in my head when it starts to subside but no headaches. I thought I was going crazy because it is hard to explain. Sometimes it makes me dizzy and I cannot see well at all.

Wiggles in Vision
I was told by a doctor 6 years ago that the wiggly lines are not uncommon and that they do not develop into anything serious. I have never had a headache in my life. I keep a record of occurrences, here is the list for this year:

22/01/13 11.35am, Tuesday. On computer and later watching TV. Started at left hand of vision being indistinct. Developed to strong silver wiggle at left of centre, then covering from 7 oclock to 11 oclock position. Left hand eye and side of face indistinct. Disappeared about 11.55 am to the left. Blood pressure 128/70, 127/69. Pulse rate was 52, 48 respectively. Temperature 81F.

30/05/13 11.42am, Thursday. Having a coffee watching TV. Started at left hand of vision being indistinct. Developed to strong silver wiggle at left of centre. Disappeared later; time not known because I went away to do some chores. Blood pressure 129/72, 126/72, 127/70. Pulse rate was 52, 53, 53 respectively. Temperature 70F.

10/07/13 8.50pm, Wednesday. Eating and watching TV. Started at right hand of vision being indistinct. Developed to mild silver wiggle at left of centre. Disappeared about 15 minutes later. Blood pressure 117/64, 113/64, 114/63. Pulse rate was 54, 54, 54 respectively. Temperature 80F.

15/07/13 10.59am, Monday. Working on computer. Started with vision being indistinct. Developed to strong silver wiggle at 8 oclock position. Still going strong at 11.22 am. Moving to 11 oclock position. Disappeared at about 11.35 am.

25/08/13 11.01am, Sunday. Working on computer. Started with vision being indistinct. Developed to strong silver wiggle at 3 oclock position. Disappeared at about 11.15 am.

25/08/13 5.57pm, Sunday. Watching TV. Started at left hand of vision being indistinct. Developed to strong silver wiggle at 9 oclock position. Disappeared at about 5.15 pm.

Ocular migrane
I had this happen like 4 years ago. It was just once and was just as described. Never happened tip today but the blind spot lasted for over 7 hours. With no headache, really scared now. I just have a banana shaped small blind spot. I think i will go to the doctor tomorrow.

This post was very helpful today when this occurred for the first time. Started in right eye first with white spots in my vision so I couldn't read and a reverse C of squiggly lines around the periphery of my eye and then cleared about 30" later. Called the eye doc and they concurred since it cleared up it is not retinal. Then it occurred in my left eye the same way so I definitely knew it was the retina detaching. Googled and found this posting which gave me new insight and great sigh of relief.

Health
This also happens to me and has done so about twice a year for the last twenty years. I saw an opthalmologist and after checking my eyes he also stated that it is something that happens with the start of a migraine. And funny enough I also used to get Migraines in my early twenties but don't anymore. After the squiggly lines I get a dull but bearable headache. So reassuring to read that I'm not alone in this!

Me Too
I have had this problem for 13 years. LOL I have been through every fatal disease in the book trying to self diagnose.....so, very happy to find that my symptoms are shared. Mine happens just like most every person on this blog described. I have found some peace from this blog...thank you....as I can now focus ( pun intended) on the reason why.

Wavy Lines
This happened to me today while driving downtown suddenly a arc of wavy lines around my eyes. No left Periphial vision. Scared the crap out of me. No place to pull over. But took it slow. Stopped 30 min. later. Thought I had a stroke until my husband said happened to him once. This site saved my sanity. Thanks to you all.

This has happened a few times me. I think it's when my blood sugar is low. I get these on days I skip a few meals or haven't eaten for awhile. Then I eat and the squiggly, color lines go away.
