Can I Get Pregnant Without Cervical Mucus

I had a miscarriage in august and since then my periods have been somewhat irregular. This month I am trying to conceive and I took and ovulator predictor test and it said I was ovulating, yet , I had no cervical discharge. Isn't cervical mucus necessary for conception? My period is not due for another 9 days. Any thoughts? Thanks! Question

I'm not sure if it has to be there, but I know in nfp it's a sign that you have ovulated.
