Lung Cancer/fractured Hip

My father has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. He just had a bone scan done, and they realized he has a fractured hip. Does anyone know if the cancer has spread to the bone can they still operate on his hip? Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks
mary

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern.
Yes,they can operate but after taking consent of high risk as lungs in advance stage have already compromised.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
