Cause of enlarged and sore breasts

my breast have almost doubled in a week and a half and are very sore. is that normal at 22? i've taken a home pregnancy test it came up neg. im also not on the pill i know that can make your chest grow... last time i had sex was the last week in jan. is it to soon to tell if i'm preg? or some other reason?

Doubling of breast size in such a short time is not typical, even if you are pregnant. However, since you did not mention when you took the pregnancy test, you may want to consider taking another one, especially since your irregular periods make it difficult to determine if you are late. You can also make an appointment for an ultrasound with a gynecologist to confirm or exclude the possibility of pregnancy, and to diagnose your symptoms of breast tenderness and enlargement.
