Blood in stool and abdominal pain (Page 2)

It's not nothing, but it's going to be okay...tell someone
I am going through the same thing. I've been pooping a lot of blood for a little over a week (that I noticed). I thought it was from juicing, but this seems weird.

I've been to the Doctor, who sent me to the emergency room. The emergency room folks stuffed all manner of stuff up my butt (short of any 'oscopy's); basically a tube so they could look up their and and a "blood in stool" swab test.

They discharged me while making an appointment with my General Practitioner. When I met with the GP he basically dismissed it all as a problem that would resolve itself.

It isn't.

Long story short, this stuff happens to a lot of folks. It's probably not cancer. There are a ton of things, both identifiable and not that it could be. Get over your embarrassment and tell someone, your mom, your dad, a close friend, a DOCTOR. Hell, I am color blind and had to ask my girlfriend to look at my poop to confirm that it was bloody...her face told the whole story. It was worth it and I'm not embarrassed that I asked her. We were both glad that I did. And now we're just waiting for the okay from the doctor to start laughing about the whole thing Smile

Right now it's just blood in stool. Imagine how embarrassing it will be when you're in the emergency with blood in your stool and having to explain why you never came in when you noticed it for the first time.

Now that's embarrassing.

Good luck all. It's gonna be okay.

Hi! Im a 14 year old girl who's been living a normal life without any kind of severe sickness in my family. About a week ago, i started to feel slight pain on the left side of my stomach and at first i thought it was just gas but in a few days it started to worsen up. After that ive been experiencing blood in my stool. The blood is like bright red and freshy type. My mom brought me to see a doctor and he said i might have polyps which is kinda weird cause it usually happen to older people. I was really scared! Im going for colonscopy tommorow and i just hope that everythings alright! Sad

Symptoms aren’t like cancer. Looks like you are suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). People with this condition have the same symptom same as you. It is unknown to the medical world about why people suffer from this condition. Diet and lifestyle can be the reason for getting septic with this condition. luvsme

Less commonly such bleeding can be due to a proctitis (inflammation of the lower rectum usually due to IBD) or a rectal tumor. Bright red blood mixed with the stools indicates the bleeding is acute and likely in the colon. Causes include infections, IBD, diverticula, or tumor
