High Blood Pressure And Pregnant : chronic hypertension

I hope someone responds to this thread. I just found out I was pregnant yesterday. I have chronic hypertension and my doc has me on Aldomet and Norvasc 10 mg. I see on-line that Aldomet seems to be the first choice. Has anyone ever taken Norvasc? the entire pregnancy? Please let me know if you've taken either one of these meds. Thanks

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Norvasc is relatively contraindicated and not a good choice as well.
Aldomet or adalat should be taken.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
