Byetta Shots - Now Taking Phetermine to Lose Weight

I have takin phetermine to lose weight, however, I had an allergic reaction to it so I have been on glucophage and that isn't helping.....I go to the doc on monday and I am thinking about taking the byetta shots but am wanting to know if someone has done this and what can I expect? I have Metabolic syndrome and premenapousal so that makes it hard to lose weight along with the slowing down of the metabolism anyway....Thanks for your advice! Smile

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Glucophage is not helpful in losing weight.
You can take exenatide but its not effective in metabolic syndrome.
I would suggest you to focus on diet and excercise.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
