TMJ putting me in financial ruin

I can't believe I found this site! I am in the same situation as so many people on here. I am 20 years old, and was diagnosed last summer. I spent two months with my mouth completely stuck shut, not able to eat or really talk. I spent thousands on physiotherapy before going to an oral surgeon who finally opened my mouth after putting me out. I still have problems all the time, and I can hardly eat some days. I have a long distance relationship with my boyfriend, and when he visits, sometimes my mouth and jaw is so sore I can't even kiss him, among other things. When I go to the gym, my jaw acts up. When I go running, my jaw acts up. When I sleep on my side, my jaw acts up. The worst part is, I don't even know how I managed to incur this problem. I just woke up with it one day, no trauma, no nothing. I haven't been to a dentist in a long time because I can't open my mouth, but I have a painful loose filling that needs to be repaired. I can't afford physio any more, I went $5000 in debt last summer, and it didn't help me at all. I've tried all kinds of massage therapy, none of it helps. I've gone so far in debt to try to fix this, and I'm a student, I can't afford it!!! Can someone please offer some advice? I'm sick of winding up crying in frustration about it!!!!!! The pain, the constant ear pressure, it's driving me nuts. I live in a small city in Canada, where there are no specialists, and there was only one physiotherapy center that even knew what it was. Sad
