My TMJ problems have always been on my right side but lately my left side has been sore. I'm wondering how many people are affected on both sides of their jaw? If they are did they happen like mine or were they both always affected?
Thanks,
Marianne

My TMJ originated in my left side but now it is in the right side of my jaw but my left jaw is the main culprit in all my discomfort.

I have on both sides. Started with left side (clickiing), and no pain really. However, now it is also on right and I am n excruciating pain. However, the oral surgeon told me that the xray photos show left side is much worse and the pain of TMJ on left is compensating for the left. Her treatment suggestion is to have physical therapy which I don't understand.
