Went to Doctor today as my right ear has been feeling as though it's under constant pressure and is becoming very uncomfortable. There is also a lot of pain radiating down into my lower jaw. My throat hurts when I swallow. Have had these symptoms for a few weeks. I had a Basal Cell Carcinoma removed 8 weeks ago. Despite the fact that it had clear margins I am desperately worried that the cancer has spread into my jaw.
Are these symptoms consistent with anyone's experience of tmj? I've never heard of this before and it seems bizarre to me that my ear would feel so pressured and 'full' because of this condition.
I'm very scared at the moment. Sad

Following up from this post I had an mri which showed everything is normal therefore what I am suffering from IS TMJ.
I am relieved whilst at the same time amazed that such horrible symptoms are caused by this condition. I would never have believed it. Pressure in my ears, sore throat and excruciating pains around my head and teeth all from TMJ.
I can now relax a bit and start looking at relieving the pain.
