Tiny reddish brown pin pricks under the skin

I have these clusters of tiny reddish brown pin prick marks under my skin- they're definitely under the surface and not raised at all. They change and sometimes aren't there at all and sometimes there's a lot of them. Mostly on the top of my inner thighs but occasionally on my calves as well. They're not irritating or painful at all. Any ideas?

Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out.

These can be small petechiael spots. It is due to minute hemorrhage of blood below the skin. Mainly found in viral fevers. But if these persist then Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic purpura should be ruled out.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and regards.
