Throbbing in lower back while pregnant

Hello, for the past two days I've been having these painless throbbing sensation in my back I'm 36 weeks 5days pregnant , I was told I was 1cm dilated today. I've never been pregnant so I don't know what this means

Ok you can do a simple test and see. Walk around or change position and see if the contractions stop or slow down. If they do it is a false alarm. Also such false contractions are felt only in lower abdomen and pelvis and not in the back. Their force and frequency does not increase with time. Such contractions are also called Braxton Hick’s contractions.

If the pains do not fit the above criteria, please consult an obstetrician immediately. In all probability since there is pain in back, labor pain is starting. It can just be pressure of baby-but please consult your Obs and Gyn immediately.
