For the past few months I have been experiencing a lot of throat tightness which sometimes causes a lot of pressure in my sinuses. My throat feels very irritated and the tightness causes a lot of shortness of breath. Sometimes when eating I have trouble swallowing and it feels like my food is stuck in my chest area. This tightness happens almost everyday. My Dr referred me to an ENT but the appointment is not for weeks. They did thyroid and iron tests that came back fine.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Tightness and difficulty swallowing with normal baseline work up needs otolaryngological examination and work up to find the cause of these swallowing difficulties and then manage accordingly.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
