I recently had a sore throat that felt more like an injury than an illness. I stopped smoking and drinking altogether for several days and it didn't go away. After 2 weeks, I became hoarse and thought that it must be cancer! I immediately began gargling with hydrogen peroxide and baking soda as well as taking mushroom supplements for an immune boost. Now, 3 weeks on, my throat seems to feel much better although my trechea feels inflamed from all the gargling. There is still a little tickle in my voicebox so I will continue with the baking soda gargles a while longer.
My question is: Could I still have throat cancer even though my sore throat symptoms have cleared up?
